SBC Working Groups

The SBC has formed various working groups responsible for structural and topical issues and problems surrounding the fixed-income market. The working groups consist of qualified members of the Swiss Bond Commission as well as external experts.

The working groups define standards and issue recommendations on a variety of topics. All members – but also anyone else who is interested in the subject – are welcome to share their knowledge with the working groups, thus contributing towards an active exchange of know-how, an improved environment for the fixed-income business, and a qualitative enhancement of the markets.

If you are interested in any of the subjects, please do not hesitate to contact the SBC Chairman or the heads of the various working groups.

The results produced by the working groups, as well as the jointly gathered know-how directly benefit all members as well as the involved third parties and the markets.

The list of topics for which the SBC has established working groups currently include:

- Tax Issues (with a focus on stamp duty)

- Portfolio Analytics (e.g. methodical questions regarding the yield curve)

- Index Issues (especially the SBI and SLI index groups)

- Sector Issues (e.g. sector classification)

- Notification and Publication Requirements (regulative questions)

- Hybrids, Covenants, Convertibles

General Assembly OKS

The general assembly took place on May 10, 2012 at the Hotel Widder. The event was a great success not only by the number of attendee. The official part was followed by a presentation of Dr. Dominique Ammann (PPC Metrics) and a social part.

Swiss bond market - undamaged through the financial crisis

According to the Swiss National Bank (SNB), the Swiss franc bond market has lived up to its reputation for stability.The Swiss bond market held up well during the financial crisis.
